Terms and Conditions for Participation in the Township Shops Programme.
1. Eligibility
Participants must be current or previous spaza shop owners operating within the Free State Province.
Owners must provide valid proof of their operational history or current operation status within township areas as part of their application.
2. Registration and Approval
Eligible shop owners are required to submit a registration form detailing their business information, including operational location, ownership status, and compliance with local business regulations.
Approved participants will receive confirmation of their acceptance into the programme after review and verification by Trestlebridge and NAFCOC.
3. Compliance with Local Regulations
All spaza shop owners must comply with the Free State Integrated Business Support, Licensing, and Regulation Act of 2024, as well as any relevant municipal and provincial regulations.
Participants must ensure their shops meet the necessary health, safety, and structural standards as defined by local laws and programme requirements.
4. Responsibilities of Shop Owners
Participants are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of their shops at all times.
Business owners must attend scheduled programme training sessions, workshops, and informational briefings as required by the programme.
Shop owners must adhere to any branding or product display guidelines provided by the programme to ensure a consistent and professional appearance.
5. Support and Benefits
Participants may receive assistance in terms of business development training, marketing support, and resources to improve their operational capacity.
Access to financial aid, equipment, or partnerships will be evaluated and granted based on the programme’s criteria, subject to availability.
6. Termination of Participation
Violation of any programme rules or failure to comply with local regulations may result in removal from the programme without prior notice.
Misuse of any programme-provided resources, financial support, or materials will also lead to termination.
7. Liability and Indemnity
Trestlebridge and NAFCOC shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or liabilities arising out of participants' business operations.
Participants agree to indemnify and hold Trestlebridge and NAFCOC harmless from any claims arising from their business activities, third-party interactions, or regulatory compliance.
8. Confidentiality
Participants agree to keep any proprietary information received through the programme confidential and not disclose it to unauthorized parties.
9. Amendments
Trestlebridge and NAFCOC reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, with notice provided to all registered participants.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By participating in the Township Shops Programme, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and commit to fostering positive local economic development.
